The Autism Awareness Walkathon 2025 is a 5KM fun walk happening on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Kasarani, Nairobi City County. The walk is meant to help people learn more about autism and support children with special needs. Vijana na Taifa, together with Kenya Charity Sweepstake, is helping raise money for Salama Primary School in Mathare.Salama Primary School is the only school in Mathare that helps children with autism. Right now, they have 50 children in the special unit but only one teacher. The school does not have enough money or resources to give the children everything they need. The money raised will help the school buy learning materials, improve the classroom, and train more teachers — so that children with autism can get the care and education they deserve.
